More meets

I think we all need to have more meets, try and get everyone a bit more social.. maby even meeting up weekly for a drive out in the country for example to a pub/cafe for food then everyone can head back home.

Each week someone else comes up with the route.

But before this can happen i think we all need to work out who lives close together and who is prepaired to travel etc etc.

With such a varied amount of members, it wouldnt work, unless there was regional meets.

Im thinking add and address or postcode field to out forum profiles and come up with meets and email everyone near the location.

I would travel for 1h30 to a meet i think.. 90miles tops but there would have to be a few people at it!

Need to have area reps, like on clitosport, they are responsible for organising meets, if they don't then they will be replaced

My impression is that alot of the members are based up north and the further south you go, the more spread out everyone is! Would be good to get a few regional meets together but i dont know how much interest it would generate :? I'm either WR9 or B27 :lol:

Other thing on here is you find people tend to have lives outside the internet (unlike alot of cliosporters), me personally i'm recovering most weekends or off doing other things

if you look on usergroups you should be able to see the area reps

i am/was the south yorks area rep aswell as a mod, but really dont have alot of time of late to organise them

if anyone wants to be a area rep you need to talk to northy on that, other then the NW lot the problem is trying to get ppl to go to meets, as usual theres dismal turnouts as no can be arsed!

for example the last 3 meets i sorted we had only me from south yorks, 1 from middlesboro and the rest was NW boys.

the 2nd meet there was 6 of us, only me and coops from south yorks iirc and rest middlesboro/midlands

the 3rd meet there was a big list of ppl but loads dropped out for whatever reason which left just 1 person from manchester and 1 from wakefield which isnt fair on them travelling so far so i cancelled it.

you need more ppl to actually attend, no point having reps if the rest dont even try!

It always starts off with a big list and then gradually dwindles down nearer the day.
I think people on here probably have to spend more time fixing our clio's than the cliosport lot :lol:
I'll attend meets if they are organised but i dont think i have the spare time necessary to be a rep tbh. :(

Il be south east, im in kent, dont get much more SE than kent tbh! Maybe some places but its sort of middle SE.

Im so up for some meets too! Im fed up with the anti-socialness of it all!

how about a rolling road day or somthing maybe hill power job ?

usualy quite cheap about 35 notes and gets a good talking point on cars
