Folks,

I'm after the weight of a 15" wheel plus tyre for sending via a courior.

They're Foxes but if you could post up any weights you know that'll allow me to guess what these mofos weigh.

IIRC i'd normally be looking about 14kgs or thereabouts?

Ph2 wheels are 8.4kg each plus tyre

Package them up in 2 seperate parcels

Used them before, got picked up by DHL

Thanks m8!

How much does a tyre weight tho?

Tyre will weigh about 10kg, depending how much meat left on it. A spare wheel steely plus brand new tyre is 20kg.

AFAIK, Continental usually make their tyres lighter than most other manufacturer. I think Toyo also make theirs slightly lighter as well. Also, smaller tyre widths will shave a bit of tyre weight.

Eeek!

Didn't ready this and have just booked the courior at 17kgs each.

I should get away with it...tyres are fairly bald?

Phew, relief! :)

On the engine block thing...Chris H managed to pick up a 16v and dump it into into a car boot by himself at my house a few months ago! Scary when you think about it...!

My digital bathroom scale had a 15" steel wheel with brand new 195 tyre at about 19kg. So, 17kg might just be about right for your alloy + bald tyre combo.

My Williams (Speedline) alloy wheel is 6.8 kgs. I'm not sure but perhaps it's made of AlMgSi. My "back up wheel set" is in my room.
