My mates are finally going to be fitting my cams and vernier pulleys this weekend, problem i appear to have is that my mates aren't too clever with the pulleys, as they haven't done them before, they are good mechanically minded so any pointers please
need to be set up with a dial gauge really

what should they be set to
should have a lift at tdc figure from the manufactors
but to get the best from them they need to be timed up with a decent mapping session aswell to get most from the cams.

mapping will be done once new engine is finally fitted. but obviously need to get it running fairly 'timed' to get it to be mapped. Even though they are vernier pulleys, going by the renault spec for the timing would that work?
it might but can,t tell. what cams are they.
Just time them up to the standard timing marks and then give the car to someone like stan to time in spot on
Did i sell them to you? the name rings a bell....
As maxi says, use a dial gauge to set the lift at tdc to what the data sheet says.

ok, well my mates are fitting the cams, and the pulleys, then hopefully get the engine fitted.
Do you do remaping? would you be able to sort the timing out for me as well?
