Hunting + Backfire?

Only does it when i havent run the car for a few days, and stops once i give her a bit of a ragging and has warmed up, then wont do it again untill ive left it for like 4 days not running.

But as said if i drive it one day, the next day its fine, continuously if i drive it its fine, its only when i leave it standing for a few days.

Oh the question is, - What is the problem? Is it a big problem?

I would guess probably battery related problem. Check the battery voltage the next time after you parked the car for a few days.
