Where did you get the carrier soldered in?

I want this doing asap but can't find anyone to bloody do it! I want it to work obviously but want it to be a decent job too .ie retain the original map if possible

i have one lol, bought it for that job! it did work but took ages to slowly warm each pin up and suck it all out, the solder isnt just on the tip of the pin, it was right into the board(the hole the pin sits in)

If you have a decent Iron I could do it piece of piss, I used to use my old works Irons and they were shit hot, but at the new gaff we dont use irons so no can do im afraid!

Daz apparently there is a company in Plungington in Preston called G3 or G4 or 4G or 3G, not sure which lol. and they will do it but i cant find them :cry:

So still got my gunnerchip all wrapped up still, if i find this place or you find somewhere il let u know and vice versa

is it a gunnerchip your fitting?

Is the ECU gonna be out the car, I *might* know someone who will do it for you, might cost a few quid though, a mate of mine runs a surface mount assembly business in Darwen and he *might* do it for a few quid. Obviously you would need the ECU out of the car.

No chance - I had to buy this ECU off Martin cus we (my mother mostly while I was out) killed the original...

Was well funny the car wasn't happy with it new brain :lol:
