has been left sitting for a week, ran fine before! my immobiliser light stays illuminated when ign is on is tht normal? if not im guessing a ph1 ecu would cure any immobiliser troubles?

Try a different battery first (or charge your old one).

If I don't start my car in a few days it runs like it is missing a cylinder (or two) until it warms a little. Yours sounds battery related though.
