Thanks guys...

I'm sure most of you had the servo fluid spill all over the engine bay.
I've had this happen even when there was the correct amount of fluid in.
Sometimes it just gets to hot - so it spills out the little vent hole.

I've taken a pipe normally used for extracting fuel from fueltanks when installing parking heaters. Cut it to length, drilled a hole in the cap, conneted a small hose which end just behind the right front wheel. If anything comes out on a hot day on the track - at least its not in my engine bay. I know it should be collected somehow so it would not end up on the tarmac - anyway it would end on on the tarmac even without this mod.

Glad you like it....
Was really in doubt which colour to choose.
It was this one or white...
Choose something new for a change.

It's Electric Orange from the Focus ST.
It has been altered a little bit - darker more colour and more metallic effect.

I don't mind....
About 1500 i think - price came down a few times because the first re-spray was.... well - not up to standard.

I bet that goes like stink!

You could save another 10kg minus the sunroof!

Is that pic minus the wilwoods cause it looks standard calipers up front?

I would be interested to see what those wheels look like against the calipers.

Im in the market for some wilwoods and new wheels, was pretty damn sure of turinis but now ive seen these im not sure! damn! :x

Every time I see someones car with different wheels i just get confused!

It throws more into the hat! arggh!

Am I right or wrong in saying that those wheels are SERIOUSLY light?!

4.9KG

Are standard turbines and phase II's around the 7KG mark?

4.9KG

5,28kg - they are light.
But the tyres are quite heavy.
Probably because of alle the ekstra steel in the side walls.

With Michelin tyres the rim/tyre combo weighed in at 12,6kg
Same tyre on std. turdbine weighed in at 15,4kg.
So a good weight saving of 11,2Kg.

@ 1995clio16v:
Turinis are very nice wheels.
Believe me - i know that feeling of being confused.
More pics to come when Willwoods and coilovers are on.

@ seanofnp:
Thanks - I think its a nice colour - gets better everytime i see it.
It's sort of growing on me....
Don't get a respray in that colour - i'm sure you will hate it!!! LOL :D

@ Laine_16v:
To kind sir!

@ northy:
Rear bumper in Nana trendsetting style does look good.
Zollo - was that the guy that made those brilliant pictures of the Nana and the white TB'd beast?

Nice car :)

Really liking the PAS mod. Can you describe or show how you did it please? Looks like an oil union your using?

You should really have a little catch tank for the fluid as well :)

Bit surprised by your side exit that doesn't come all the way out. I wouldn't like to be sat in traffic with fumes trapped under the car, or on track with hot vapours coming out onto the underside of the car.

I guess you could use suitable oil unions of some kind.
I used a fuel tank extractor pipe thingy...
As they are on the shelf were I work.
- cap of
- remove brown thing with foam inside
- drill suitable hole
- fit extractor (cut to length) or souitable oil union
- tighten nuts on both sides
- fit rubber connector (piece of hose)
- connect hose to rubber connector (I used mecanyl hose which is fuel
and oil resistant - any rubber hose will do) and route to catch tank :-)
- job done

More pictures here: http://www.renaultklubben.dk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1641&start=251

The exhaust isn't really supposed to stop there.
We ran out of time putting it together :-)
Surprisingly theres no fumes (that i can smell anyway)
I will finish the exhaust, routing it the std. way hiding the last muffler making it stealth.
It does have a nice rumble at the moment though!

Thanks everybode for the more than nice remarks.
Great knowing somebody else than myself likes it.
Especially after putting a lot of work into it! :)

How long to get it into the current state?

i.e has it been a 10 year project regarding you wanting it to look like it does today.

Good question....

Actually started about 4 years ago.
Gearbox gave up on me, and it had to come out.
Doing this I noticed rust under the front window seal.
Had the window changed several years back - and it was a really bad job done. So I thought i'd do it properly and stripped it down to the bare metal.
Unfortunately in the middle of the project I had to change project locations. And the place doing the metalwork (as i'm an idiot with a welder) took a long time doing it. Even the place where it got painted took almost 7 months. And to be honest I lost interest at some point too.
I knew all along I wanted a "clean" low look. It will come down just a little bit more when changing to coilovers.
All in - it could have been done faster.

The car has been through different stages in its life.
Boy racer 17 inch rims - spoilers and so on.
But taste and style changes as you get older.
I've gone through a couple of engines too.
2,1L blew up during mapping! I was totally gutted.

Oh my goodness! Did you get any compensation from them (if you used a company) for blowing up your engine?

Thanks for the more detailed pics of the PAS cap mod. Was thinking about trying to do something with the cap and this has given me some motivation :D (Just not the money lol).

No I did not....
It's hard to prove anything.
Actually a valve broke i half at full chat.
I could hear it going through the exhaust.... LOL
So might have been a problem there and not really related to the mapping it self.

The PAS cap mod doesnt have to be expensive.
Go here and find a dealer near you:
http://www.webasto.co.uk/home/en/homepage.html
Contact the dealer and tell him you need the following:
- Fuel extractor pipe
- Mecanyl fuel line (2m)
- 2 hose clips
- 1 rubber hose

If you can fit all that stuff in the Valver.

Angeleyes - well had my doubts about them.
But as they are dark they give a nice contrast to the rest of the "in your face" colour.
But the light they give is just so defined and clear.
Well - the HID does help! :D
