Good job. Tray looks ace. Are they selling any others like that on Ebay? I need one for the Red Top 15 I've got.

What kind of power cable did you get from GKs? Might get down there myself in the next few days and sort out my installation too.

You can get £15 small car batteries rather than a redtop racing battery that are more suitable for everyday use. You will find if you don't use your car EVERY day, you'll come out and your car will be dead.

Matthew

Daz.
11-09-2007, 11:07
So how do you source a small as this bettery, lighter than standard battery and works when you leave the car for the weekend?

Scougar
11-09-2007, 11:21
From Varta :p

I will find out for you ....(need to PM on another board)

Matthew

Daz.

Scougar

Have asked, but looks like unless he goes into his car to look, i'll have to get myself down to Plymouth batteries and ask for a spec grr.

Honestly though, you can get a small everyday battery with enough cranking power on the cheap. It's just the capacity is a lot smaller.

Matthew

Mr.AdamB
12-09-2007, 18:12
yeah but its prob got acid in it and it wont be as good as a redtop 25

Daz.
12-09-2007, 21:20
yeah but its prob got acid in it and it wont be as good as a redtop 25

Won't you struggle though if your not using it everyday? I'm all for lightening and do indeed want a much smaller battery but not at the expense of having to get jump leads out everywhere!

Martin
12-09-2007, 21:58
no, should be fine...i left mine for 3/4 weeks before fitting and it turned over fine...why bother if your not going to the strip/track though Daz?

Daz.
12-09-2007, 23:18
Weight, space for induction kit and I will be going on track but most of all cus I want one

Mr.AdamB
13-09-2007, 17:36
its the same as any other battery. recharges its self with the alternator wont ever go dead!

Scougar
13-09-2007, 17:47
Very suprised by that. The varley red tops I know of go dead over night.

Matthew

Mr.AdamB
13-09-2007, 17:52
mines never gon dead yet not even nearly dead....

maybe the 1s u know of has W**K alternators or have sumthing rummin in the battery over night?

Scougar

And a skyline R32 gtr, a gts and a r33 gtst. Think that rules out 'wank' alternators.

Matthew

Mr.AdamB
13-09-2007, 17:59
hmm well i duno then mines fine thats all i can say not 1 prob :)

then again them cars have alot of electrcal goodys and use more juice than my slag.

Martin
13-09-2007, 23:04
aye i would'nt wanna run a 25 on a skyline...it got more electrics than currys!
