Stange noise...

When i turn the sterring wheel, usually when i have my foot partially on the clutch is makes a funny noise, like a whining... cant really pin point excactly how it sounds!

any suggestions what it might be guys?

I have the same thing, only happens sometimes though. 2live heard mine ages ago and thought it was some kind of release valve.

No, its a diff type of noise, the whine is quite high pitch.

don't know bud. its only when i turn the steering wheel.

been out and its not done it, yet.

happen more in the wet and/or when the engines cold?

when was the aux belt last changed? may be slipping when the pump is under load.

Hard to diagnose without hearing it.

Usually hear it on old cars when pulling away, a high pitched screetching noise that gradually dies away?

do you get a squeek on full lock when the car is not moving which comes on and off when you move the wheel, if so its probably the aux belt, mine squeeks and its new grrr
