auto starter motor? [Archive]

Hi chaps :)

Wifes newly aquired k-reg (1993) clio 1.4 rt auto had the starter motor clicking this morning and not much else.

Can someone please let me know the correct part number for the starter motor of this? (Not sure with it being an auto if the starter is different?)

Turned out to be a dead battery not having enough juice to engage the starter

Me too lol! Was having to drive my wife to work (her induction training), but means she has to wait around for 2 hours after each day until she gets her car back.

Was honestly surprised it was the battery. I hope it's just the battery that's knacked and nothing else.

Funny really, every car I have bought in the past 2 years has needed a new battery not long after I bought it (4 cars). That even includes my 4.7k 200sx (I managed to bump start and limp to a garage before work one morning to get it checked).

i once had a run of 3 cars that all needed new petrol tanks ?
