Went down to meadowhell this morning for my 1st go on a 'track'

basically Mazda pro-mo day and they let you have 3 'laps' of a little track setup on the overflow carpark, had a blast round in a brand new mx-5(160bhp)and a brand new RX-8 (231bhp) n all, not bad for free! loved it and even more detirmned to get the clio on the track now as i loved it!

best part was u get a racing driver in with you to provide pointer n make sure u dont make a break for the gate in a brand new car, and i got a bloody clio cup driver, chances of that?! only thing is only caught his first name, Andy, and theres like 3 Andrews in the cup championship n cant figure which one as can only get pics of Andrew Jordan n it aint him!

either way the myth is dispelled, you can get something for nothing! 8)

tbh for a car that weighs nearly 2 flippin ton ( i know its well heavy!) it felt light and responsive, if a tad wollowy on the the sharp left - right bits. it was only a small short course so 2nd gear all the way, more technical than anything but it felt good. love to open it up on a real track. bugger all low down torque tho which was a little disappointing

No! They do not weigh 1850kg!

They weigh 1375kg.

With a full compliment of passengers and luggage, however, they weigh 1849kg; in other words, the gross weight of the vehicle.

Ah thankyou Zollo :)

Thought they had become lining the car with lead or something as it did seem about 500 to much lol.
