In my country people usually do exactly the oposite - putting 2.0 or GTI or GSI etc. badges on 1.2 and 1.4 engine cars. Yours is better :)

Yeah that is more common here as well to be honest (Normally because the more expensive models have better styling), but it's to make people think they got beaten by a crap car.

i.e. all show and no go = crap.
no show and stacks of go = a hoot.

I get loads of people looking down at my doors when there getting overtaken in superior cars by my humble 1.2, best one on way back from fcs, crusing down the m5 at around 85 in the fast lane, merc comes right up behind me fast so instead of moving over i floored it and pulled away up to well in the 3 figures, slowed down after i trounced his merc, he pulls alongside pointing down at the 1.2 badges scratching his head looking confused, then a thumbs up and he's off to tailgate someone else
