What makes the braking efficiency low on the handbrake - something siezed etc. any tips??

check cables and adjustment first then if there ok and so are the discs and pads your into a set of either secondhand or refurbished calipers

ai, tends to be the sliders on the calipers, they seize up, but as neil says check the obvious 1st 8)
