The Pulsar owners club had a rolling road session today so i popped along with the tango mobile to see what it could do..I have recently fitted an uprated clutch and fuel pump and that allowed me to take it upto 1bar boost from the standard setting of 0.65bar. It previously made 236bhp on standard boost a few years back..

On the rollers:

And the result after 3 runs:

I was hoping for around 285bhp but after speaking to the guy who does the rolling road, he said its not holding boost at the top end, its dropping down to 0.9bar. This will be because ive bodged it to get 1 bar and not used a boost controller. He also said the standard top mount intercooler is restricting the power and a FMIC would be much better (i have one in the shed). He reckons with a decent boost controller and FMIC it should be a lot closer to 300bhp!!

He also commented on what a tidy, good runner it was for a Pulsar so im well chuffed 8)

Cheers guys.

It is some serious power indeed - since going upto 1bar it really pins you back in the seat when it comes on boost now.

On the rollers it kept getting better with each run - first run was 268bhp, then 274bhp and 277bhp was the final run..Theres a lot more to come yet too 8)
