Earthing the speedo

I've got this problem. Just got into the dash and not sure which wire to earth. Do you earth the one on the speedo cable clip or the one attached to the car clip?

Just need to make sure before i cut the wrong one.

Idle problem 2

Idle is fine.. i go off and thrash my car,.. the engine is reving at 1.5k plus on idle
solution:
the speed sensor on your speedo cable requires a better earth. splice in to the black wire and find a suitable earth point behind the dash.
if this does not rectify the problem try cleaning the iscv using method 1^ then replace. still no joy, replace speedo cable.

Speedo cable clip is one to cut as its only £45 for a new speedo cable.

Plus its the speedo cable with the bad earth.

i still think this isn't the problem, and it's the lamda. But we'll soon see.

This has solved the problem :D But now have the nearly cutting out problem :( . French electrics eh :lol:

iscv might need cleaning

i have to agree.. im an experienced man when it comes to idle probs..

remove iscv spray carb cleaner in etc... work it loose.. still no joy replace iscv!

it revs on its own sometimes aswell. I'm gonna replace the lamda today, as it may be that. Will clean the iscv now.
