Ok, so we know that the speedlines have a silver rim round the gold centres. I have just realised on my original alloys that there is then another gold rim on the outer edge of the of the alloy.
So imaging the rim with 3 faces. You looking at the tyre / wheel on the car from the side. One face facing the centre cap. One face facing you looking at the wheel on the car. And one face facing the tyre.
The face facing the centre cap = gold as the whole alloy is
The face facing outwards = silver
The face facing the tyre - slightly curved and top half = silver, lower half is gold
So in essence the silver rim is actually silver + gold.
