Get a 5GT's gearbox and put it as it is on the 1,8 16v f7p engine?

See here - someone has done it but i think there are issues with geart ratios and the speedo being cable or electric between the two...

Forget it. The diff is completely the wrong ratio and will kill acceleration.

eah after seeing that previous post i look into it a bit but the ratios were all wrong really. There was a 5 at the FCS with a valver lump and 5 gearbox on i think but i could see the owner to ask questions about it.

R5 speedo is defo electrical all the way. They're both JB3 boxes aren't they? Dunno f.d. ratios they are.
