Priced up a rocker gasket today at my local motor factors and i was asked how many oil holes it had. I said there wasnt 2 types and he insisted there was, how do i know which one i am looking for?

also, is this kit any good? (price and quality wise)

ai, am buyin the 1.8 version of that set for my spare engine at some point, be reet! :wink:

not a clue what hes on about with rocker gasket, all the same as far as am aware for clios

in a renault set you get 2 gaskets. 1 for the clio and 1 for the 19. the top engine mounting point makes a difference on the clio, although you can cut the gasket to fit round it as that part doesnt make a difference and it wont leak :wink:

Cheers guys, so it doesnt matter whic one i get? ie if its the "wrong" on i can just trim it?

Also, does anybody have the part mumber for the TB to manifold gasket and can i just use liquid gasket instead?

i just used silicon gasket stuff, works fine.

tb to manifold gasket on early cars had a heat shield barrier in it.

I've had 2 or 3 rocker cover gaskets from reno now, only ever got 1 in a pack though!

Cheers maxi, think i will go to renault for that anyway because i need a rew bits and bobs from them anyway, pas washers, roll pin etc

So does the gasket have "oil holes" or not? and if so howmany?
