could anyone please tell me if you can get uprated engine mounts, as my lovely clio has destroyed them all and they were not that old!

or would buying direct from renault be a better option as im not going for cheap stuff anymore!

genuine reno are supposed to be far superior to pattern parts, when i asked about a set they were something like 90 quid, thats without even asking about the extra r19 gearbox mount

just spoken to renault and they have quoted me £160 + vat seems well pricy!

I just ordered a new driver-side engine mount from matbrown for less than 90GBP. Was the cheapest I could find.

I just bought a mount from renault (drivers side top mount) for the megane coupe. Its basically the same as the clio one as its the same engine fitting ect.. and it cost me 55 quid

Strange nobody does polyurethane ones. That's what I had on my mini... uber tight :D

Get a GSF driver side top one and gearbox top one (just the rubber) should be around £60 for both, then grab the 19/172 second gearbox mount from renault and a tube of tiger seal, about another £50. fit the three new mounts and fill the knackered dogbone with tigerseal, maybe the others a bit aswell if you can find space to squirt the stuff.

thats what am runnin on mine and its tight as you like and wont totally break the bank, plus u'll then have some tiger seal kickin about for sealing sunroofs and sumps and other various dodgy french hatch applications! :lol:

Ummm could do with sealing my sunroof ive had to put waterproof covers on the buckets!!!

Do you have the part numbers for these coops?

Shouldnt need uprated engine mounts for most applications.
The Renault ones imo are worth the money as most last 100k so the price they charge for new ones which you know will last a good while is worth it.

Clio _ girl ~~ please send me a pm or whatever,with the part numbers you were quoted for ~~ I am fairly sure ~~ My Renault supplier could beat that ~~ obviously a bit of postage etc etc.

just tried to get part numbers out of my local renault garage who said they wouldnt log into there system to check lol :S

sunwin officaly suck well in derby they do, never works when i want parts, you mention williams and they just go no ta

same mounts for valver mate, use C57D chassis code, job done! 8)

not got part no's off hand no, but they shud be able to turn them up for you either at renault of GSF wherever u get them from!

Just rang renault today, and this is what i was quoted inc vat

1) Main engine mount 7700818994 £96.90
2) Dog bone mount 7700849715 £54.79
3) small engine mount 7700806577 £25.77
There is a pin that goes inside the small engine mount, dont have a part number for it though....

4) Renault 19 mount + fixing screws ect
Rubber 7700 801543 £50.97
Metal 7700 845018 £19.25
2x Nut 7703 034112 (not a valid part number aparrently)
2x Bolts 7703 101296 £1.01

rubber at £50? no no no , order the modern 172 parts as they arent back order and cheaper as they are still widely available, 19 stuff costs more. got the numbers here:
