thats over £5,400 surely it would be cheaper to have the kit done to your already tuned car?

im sure maxi will be along to tell us all the real answers

maxi kits are just shy of a grand from prima racing

It says: 'Cylindrée 1800cm3' which i would guess is 1800cc. There was a N plate Maxi at FCS with a 'Williams 2' sunstrip at FCS which a few people found slightly confusing. Dont know if anyone saw it or took a photo?

maxi kits are just shy of a grand from prima racing

the prima racing kits aren,t proper maxi there lame in my opinion.

full kit is around 800 imported from france though an english importer they have.

depends on paint and fitting mine was around 2000.00.

plus its left hand drive

didnt realise the kits were that cheap! this is hapening!

Maxi, do you need to run 17" wheels or do 15s look right? also how do you get the spacing on the rear axle?

cheers bailey

Do not want to get into an argument
I fairness to "Prima" there kits wre never advertised as a "MAXI" kit just a big winged kit ~~ Tour de Corse I think !! like someone said earlier for under £1k they aren't too bad.Rear roof spoiler a bit flimsy but is ok
I got one fitted by them, and run 7 x 17" Speedlines also wide track, big brakes etc etc at the front ~~ not for show ~~ neccessity for rallying
Most of you Know,I have been dealing with Prima ~~ or one particular guy  for over 15 years and never had anything iffy, and have been 110% satisfied.Others may beg to differ ~~ guess that's how it goes

not knocking the prima kit on quality or fitting as mine was not good in these area,s and needed work just the facts its not as you say advertised as a replica kit because its different in certain respects.

this makes it easier to fit and run on a road car.

but its not a maxi kit but prima,s take on a maxi.

never had to many dealings with prima. just pointing out that its not a maxi replica but if you can live with that its an easier kit to fit and get looking right than the original kit.

Yes totally agree 100% :o  ~~ same old story I guess ~~ you get what you pay for !!!! anyway thanks for not flaming me
As you say,it's there "take" on the Maxi ~~ and cheaper than a "DIMMA" Kit.
It serves it purpose for my needs

problem with the real maxi kit is the arches are so big it takes major work to lower the car enough to fill the arches including cutting out the rear inner arches and lots of mods around the front suspension hubs.

have you had to carry out this work on yours then neil to get it to fit right, as urs is the real deal aint it?

MAXIBOY

yes a few bits and it needs more work really as i want to get it lower still. do with another 50mm drop all round. not for handling as its f**king brilliant and sharp but just for looks really. the works cars seem lower than mine in the pics with less wheel to arch clearance. still not a problem just cosmetic really but i will get it lower.

good lad! lower brings issues tho, mines now got approx 1-2mm clearance to the plastic arches on full lock, lets hope i avoid the mid corner bumps!

What's the handling like with such an increase in tyre width, wheel size and track width?

I imagine it loses a lot of its adjustability on tarmac?

I also imagine that you'd have to have a serious cage to stop the large increase in grip from bending the shell! lol

MAXIBOY

handling is fantastic. brilliant. on the road it just goes and grips and goes. really is a little special but i feel theres more to come as there loads of adjustment and hopefully a bigger drop to come with maybe an increase in track also.

shell seems fine though i do have a cage its not tied into the front strut towers as yet maybe soon though. we will see.

at the moment i have full lock and clerence even on my private bit of rally track where i,ve been testing. if it doesn,t catch there it won,t on the road.

also the 18,s and tyres weigh in at 4.5 kilos heavier than turbines but the brakes are lighter. looking for a set of very light zero offset 18,s
