I don't think i need to say much as the pictures do most of the talking, but basically left my car with a flat battery to get some jump leads and this is what i came back to.

I can't explain with words what i'm feeling right now..

I miss my baby already :(

Personally i think it's deliberate, but i guess it's possible it could have been anything. From the looks of things it went with a bang so i'm glad i wasn't in it or near it when it happened.

Bayliss says: I know exactly how you feel...de ja vue

Gunner says: those pics are shocking, its gotta be deliberate ignition if your battery was flat! outrageous

MAXIBOY
07-08-2007, 16:34
but was it a flat battery or a short that made it look like a flat battery until the battery melted.
they have sniffers that will know if an accelerant was used.

cliokiz
07-08-2007, 16:34
I'm thinking someone tried to steal it, then realised that they couldn't, so thought, shit, fingerprints everywhere, then just set it on fire..

or something like that anyway

either way i'm seriously annoyed!

Absolutely gutted for you mate :(

Judging by the fact that the battery is still there (kinda) and most of the interior has long since gone id say the fire started inside (arson!).

Gutting :(

Really sorry for you mate :(

That looks to me like it was "not accidental" as the interior looks much worse than the front - and I don't see how a battery going up would have done the interior before the front end as it's tucked away in the engine bay... :?

But who knows - hope they work out what it was (though perhaps better not to know? :? ) and that the insurance sorts you out ok and doesn't destroy your bank balance next year.

:P Yeah i was thinking that.

I totally think he should have it, must be lighter than his by now!

And in response to a question above, yes it is a williams engine and gearbox in there with piper cams!

My toolkit was inside though (which is now melted to the floor) so i don't have the toolage to take anything out
