about 1/4 of the way down on my pedal there seems to be a flat spot, go past it and everything picks up again.

almost like a momenatry pause.

should i replace the accelerator cable or is it something else?

check the routing of the cable to see if its snagged on anything or whether it has any play in it, new one is only 15+VAT from renault, easy to change too.

how many miles? service etc.. could be a sticking iscv or something, carb cleaner in the throttle body too may help a touch

Is there a pressure change then all of a sudden the engine feels much more free?

its on 108k and a service is due.

no pressure change, just as you start pushing down on the accelerator its fine, car keeps accelerating then you hit the 1/4 mark doesnt keep on accelerating just stays at the point you are, until u get past it then keeps on accelerating.

if your driving it enthusiastically you dont notice it because you past that point quickly.

its if your gradually accelerating you can tell.

:? hope that makes sense

1/4 revs or 1/4 throttle?

its not the second fly opening is it?

Most people dont realse the valver/williams has 2 throttle inlets and u can feel the point in the pedal when the second fly opens.

yes sorry its, 1/4 throttle.

im sure there has been a post recently in regarding the second fly opening up, was trying to look for that thread to post up on there .

i just find it too noticeable, my other williams throttle change was no where near as pronounced as this one.

just give the butterfly thing a clean?

this is the thread, can see the pis i put up of the body there.

cleaning and a new cable may help.
