electric window dead

is it commen for the electric window motors to give up on a valver i've tried giving it twelve volts and an earth and nothings happening anyone got any ideas

new motor mate! bit of an ass to fit(tight squeezing it through the door) but piece of piss once in the door

Definately a trick to getting it in the door first time took me lil while after tht took seconds!

the drivers window isnt working at all and the passenger window is barely working either and then just stops,any chance it would be the relay

My passenger switch has started playing up, so it only works after about the third press. :?

Was gonna take it out and clean the contacts and see if that helped!
