I was my car every week but only polish it every 3 weeks or so.

I love the look of the car just polished, is it bad to polish/wax every week?

Depends on the weather, latley ive not done it for weeks. If we were havin a good summer id clean it every week or so :)

hmm at the mo every few months at the moment tbh. weather is crap and the williams is looking a bit slutty to be fair anyway

2. Just detailed it properly so only gonna need to do it once a month now to keep it mint.

Wash every week, along with a coat of wax. Polish every month to keep contaminants off the paintwork.

Full detail every 6 months - wash, clay, wash, polish, seal, wax 8) Just done one this week cos the weathers been great. Cars currently wearing 3 layers of CG Concours Wax - water doesnt even bead, just runs off :lol:

Haven't waxed either of mine in donkeys. No point on ULF and PCC needs the paint fixing so it seems pointless.

All my collection of waxes and detailing gubbins is sat doing nothing. :(

Just that - a bar of clay. Can get it from Halfords - Meguiars Quik Clay. You rub it over the paintwork and it removes all contaminants. You'll be amazed at what comes off even when you've just washed the car beforehand.

its only used at weekends only so i clean it about once a month. and when i say clean i mean a proper 5 hour deep clean and polish inside and out!!! or i will give it a clean if im going to a show/meet

Dont use it much maybe every other weekend so clean it before i use it.

Polish it every 3rd wash.

Wash every week with Meguiars shampoo and then use NXT spray wax to finish off, quick to use and very effective! Give it a proper wax every month with the buffer and valet the interior.

Got some of that Quik Clay in my cupboard, bought it a while back, still haven't tried it!
