Given that manifold heatshields are a) expensive and b) not very sturdy, I was just thinking that it would be good if someone on here could get a mould of one and get some proper metal ones made up!

No idea what the cost would end up as or even if it's possible, but thought I'd post anyway... lol

just get some heat proof material from tweeks or somewhere and mould it to shape yourself....you've got hands don't ya?

Needs to be insulated, a metal sheet will do **** all asd metal is a good conductor

What do you suggest for the heatproof material??

I'm struggling to think of anything I could mould at home lol

get an old one a glass it up then paint it silver.

any motorsport cxompany will sell heat reflective material in sheets that could be moulded to shape

Will investigate my options I think - mine's literally falling off with old age.

ah, might pass on the BB one then!

I'll have to look into cheaper materials. Will also mean extra insulation can be added if it's custom done :)

thats was what i was hinting at making one is glass fibre must be really cheap. just cover and old one
