upon closer inspection I have found by boot lid to be totally rotten under the seal that keeps the rear window in place.... :shock:

Is is worth trying to repair or should I look into getting a new boot (if so, what should that cost.....)

New boot time. Think there £200ish from renault. Plenty of boots about 2nd hand though.

Just make sure you get the right phase bootlid as the badges are pinned on on phase 2's and have a washer jet built into wiper where as phase1's don't have locating holes for badges and a hole for a seperate washer jet.

just got a quote from a Renault approved repairer for a new boot lid to be sprayed and installed of £636.15!!!!!!! The boot lid alone was £220!!!!! :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

mines is fooked on the track car, so it just got cut out, and the williams one is also going but have a spare tailgate for it, you can pick minted ones up second hand, i paid £30 for mine

lol, pretty sure you could get a bootlid sprayed and matched for around 80quid. cash is also always cheaper :wink:

round my way the majority of paint shops were charging over 250 just for paint on a tailgate :roll:
