Refurb'd willy wheels, before and after pics!

After: (took the wheels to Lepsons in Kent, was a very decent service and they were the cheapest out of all the big companies I phoned;

before you fit them invest in some poorboys world wheel sealant, give them 3 coats inside and out protect them further plus makes the brake dust wash off easier

Looking good mate...as above....if u want to keep them looking like that, you need to invest in some wheel sealant/wax to make them easier to clean and stop the brake dust from eating into the paint. 8)

Have seen problems with Lepsons re-furbs where moisture gets into the silver rim.

Yeah they did say that the silver lip isnt warrented, although the rest of the wheel is for a year. Daz, how can judge the quality of a refurb by a picture off a camera phone :roll:

Camera phones these days take a better picture than some of peoples expensive as fook but older digi cams...

The colours nice and they look great but the lip doesn't look properly cut back on the left hand side or isn't flat?

Might just be me or the picture but the fact I'm trying to help you obviously doesn't matter - If theres an issue then its gonna go there first and seen as you've just paid a lot of £££ for the job I thought you might want em to last...

Dan, im sure you have a modicum of common sense so if they look ok to you i am sure they are.

Don't worry about what anyone else says as you cannot tell alot from a picture several feet away from a wheel, which may or maynot have a blemish the size of a fingernail trimming anyway! (Also could have taken a dodgy photo).

And lets be honest, if you want A1 quality wheels then buy some brand new ones. Refurbs will never be 100%.

Look good to me anyhow.

I had polished rim from lap-tab - didn't wash them over winter :roll: and they bubbled up round the edge where the salt got in :cry:

Just have to keep them well washed and dried off I think!
