Outside temp sensor not working easy fix or not????

Hi there, my outside temp sender doesnt work as my temp gauge just flashes at me. Are they easy to take out of the mirror? If so how? And what should I do to try and repair it?????

Any tips are greatly appreciated....

At least the fault shouldnt be at the gauge end, first off try electrical cleaner on the terminals from the nearside mirror, another option is to find another clio with a working gauge and plug their mirror into your loom if it then works its a fault with the temp sensor in the mirror, other than that i dont know coz i have the same issues with mine
