Where is the starter motor ???

firstly where is the starter motor and are the connections easy enough to get to?

Just to the right of the manifold if you're looking at the engine from the front. It's sits at the back of the gearbox, and will (should) be covered by a heatshield.

errrr still not sure where it is, so if im looking at the engine from the front it will be on the right hand side at the back?

Yes, locate the dizzy cap and go downwards towards the gearbox, it's bolted onto the gearbox but behind the engine
