on the way home from FCS some thing broke or fell off my car (about 50 miles from home)
i heard a noise like a stone hitting under the car but thought nothing of it
until i pulled in at services
when i put it in reverse it vibrates
going forward its ok but the gearstick moves a lot when i let off
i hope its some thing easy
would i be right in thinking it could be the dog bone mount ?
is it easy to repair if it is ?
also how much and where is it ?

i dont have any big jacks or tools so can a noob like me do it ?
(only got original renault jack) so not a lot of room to repair stuff

other than that had a very good day :)

sounds like the dogbone. 15 quid from gsf. two bolts . easy job from under the car. at the back of the engine just buy the exhaust.

Also check the gearbox/battery tray mount hasn't snapped, bit more noticeable but still common thing to go.

dogbones usually are a 5 minute job, i normally stick a plastic bottle in between the manifold and the bulk head to stop the engine rocking around, i dont know wether thats a good idea or not tho lol

got it sorted out now :)
it was a nut and bolt that goes through the dog bone mount bracket
the part with holes in
a guy in a garage did it on ramps for me
gave him a drink for sorting it out
so all back to normal again :) :driving: :driving: :driving:
