Ok so ive picked up my first Williams clio 2 and I love it... I got it cheap £1500 as its not mint but has thousands in recent receipts plus a full documented service history upto 120k which it is on...

Few questions though?

The reve counter doesnt ork but occasionally it will spring into life then die again, any ideas?
The alloys need a refurb any ideas as to where im in Windermere, Cumbria?
The 3 clocks in the cantre the oil ones the far left one doesnt seem to move it says min max but never moves and I have no idea what it is? The ither 2 oil pressure stays above 3 at 60mph and temp is around 100, is this ok?

The little bloody temp on the clocks themselves between speedo and rev just flashes at me 50 c is it knackered, can I rsset it or do I put some tape over it?

Sorry for all the questions but didnt know where to start?

Will post more quesries soon...

Cant help with all of them but for wheel refurb yellow pages are your friend.

And Oil clock on far left is oil lever and only shows when ignition is on BEFORE engine has been started, after that it will drop to 0 again.

Hope this helps a little.

Also wht number is it?

The reve counter doesnt ork but occasionally it will spring into life then die again, any ideas? Common problm usually rectified by replacing the dial

The 3 clocks in the cantre the oil ones the far left one doesnt seem to move it says min max but never moves and I have no idea what it is? As already said belowhow it works. If its showin nothing at all on pre ignition check your dipstick asap!!!
The ither 2 oil pressure stays above 3 at 60mph and temp is around 100, is this ok? Thats sounds about right
The little bloody temp on the clocks themselves between speedo and rev just flashes at me 50 c is it knackered, can I rsset it or do I put some tape over it? Sounds like the sensor is knackered. Its the nipple on the passanger wing mirror. May just be dislodged though hopefully

I dont know what number it is as it a williams 2 and I didnt think they had a number????

So if I remove the clocks and take the reve counter out will a 16valve one fit? How easy is it to remove the clocks?

Thanks for all the advice you lot really are superb.... I also need a drivers headlight as its cracked plus a fog light as its cracked....

Steve

PS I drove it back from Bristol and what a fantastic drive and they still turn heads wherever they go..........

Also looking at all this de-cat stuff someone has offered me a cat that has had all its guts pulled out so what benefits would I get from this? Or am I wasting my money?

Still may have to though - Mine REFUSED to leave its 13 year old home so In the end I replaced it all and lubricated it to stop it from doing it again!

My oil pressure runs at 3k at 75 ish, at 60 its just over 2, poss 2.5. Mine has always seem to had lower pressures then other peoples.
