****ing amazing!

Was on toyo's but thought Id try these as I wasnt happy with the wear rate on the toyos (shocking!).

Was v sceptical on peoples remarks on the difference between the 2 tyres but im well impressed! In the wet they are amazingly much better! You can actually put power downish, unlike having to let off everytime with toyos!

I have 195/45/15's and you forget how much the handling is improved on this size.

I put my phase II's back on while I had the tyres fitted and theyre 185/55/15 and the handling is simply shocking compared to the 195/45/15's, it really is.

The car just doesnt want to let go on 195/45/15's, it goes where you point it.

After having my 185/55/15's back on for the day it makes you realise just how bad the ride quality is on 195/45/15's, its real bad but makes up for it a million times over with performance!

Bought them from mytyres, was a good shipment time, 3 days quicker than they said. Was a performance ordering though. India when you phone up! Takes ages!

Well happy with the new goodyears though.

Guys if you aint on 195/45/15's you need to convert IMO! :o

I always knew this size was good but after having the originals on for a day Im never going back!

It's a big drop down from the original size though, even 195/50s (which are much cheaper than 45s) are lower overall diameter than the 185/55s so 195/45s will be altering the gearing a bit (ie lower) but like you say handling and accleration will be improved.

I thought the handling on 195/45 was fvcking dreadful.

Rode terrible and was basically just dog turd. Thought the cassis was fvcked.

195/50 gives the optimum blend imo, but I also like 185/55.

Yea, some people reckon the 185/55s handle best on the 205/309s, not as much outright grip but better balanced. The 195/45 might suffer on uneven roads compared to the 55s and the 195/50s.

I ran 195/45s (F1s too as it happens) on my 205GTi and they seemed fine on the road and I preferred the slightly better steering feel from 195/50 F1s on my other rims.
