Is it very similar to that of the williams with both running F7R's or are do the ratios on the megane box allow for much higher top speed?

I cant make my mind up which box to use with my 2.0 bottom end and 16V head with headwork....any suggestions cos I could do with a few prompts to usher me along in making a deicison!

Thanks

Mike

I guess it depends if you want high top end speed or quick low down acceleration

My JC5 williams box hits the limiter (6500RPM) at about 138Mph according to the clocks, however i'm quite sure my valver engine/box went quicker (140+) but took longer to get there.

I had a valver once which was seriously quick to accelerate but hit the redline at about 115mph in 5th, have no idea what gearbox it had but it had some mental ratios!

I think I'd want the first 4 gears of that box ^^^ then a fifth from a longer box!

i used a clio 172 box and it was bril.... softer clutch and gear selection was alot easier..... i also noticd that acceleration wasnt as intense compared to the chocolate 1.8 gearboxes......but top end was impressive..... the mounts are different so a replacement mount will be needed which i custom make myself.... i can supply u one delivered for 30 quid.....
feel free to message me with questions...
