Chip Carrier

Hey peeps, i ordered a gunner chip about 6 weeks ago off ebay, it turned up after about 2 weeks, with no chip carrier, Emailed gunner, he said he'd but still no carrier, where can i get a chip carrier from? im going fcs is anyone wants to bring one to sell me lol

Tbh ive given up now, it took a while for the chip to turn up and to my dismay no carrier, emailed him about a carrier he said that he would sort it... that was over two weeks ago and not a peep!

got to your local maplins, they cost around 90p, its a standard chip carrier they stock, as i said its pence! and maplins are everywhere! i think its a 16pin or is it more? simply count the pins on the chip and get one for that... job done

i think the nearest maplins is 60 miles away lol, but yeh will try online

that is the least of ur problems dave. just go maplins on online n order one through, shudnt take long - the real fun n games come in when you try and get someone to solder it yo ur ecu. I gaurantee no ****er will do it. haha, well, no pc/tv repair shop that ive tried wud, and ive tried quite a few...so im having to send it off to a dude on here.

got a bloke near me, 205 enthusiast and tv/video repair man, did a top job on my last valver ecu

i got a chip carrier from maplins, it cost me 19p! just take the chip you wanna fit down there and ask for a carrier to fit that!

i fitted it myself too and it works perfectly! the right tools and patience keep your toes crossed lol :lol:
