Cobra bucket seat frames dont fit even tho for mk1 clio?

Right, i got a set of cobra clubmans to go in the clio and ordered some subframes from demon tweeks, they sent me frames that had stickers on for Renault Clio Adaption plate mk1

the seat bolts to the frame fine but the holes dont line up to the floor, nor do the runners line up with any holes on the plates, i cant see how the subframe attaches to the original subframe as the seats are side-mounted on them?

How on earth do they fit? desperate for an answer please people!

I took the frames to my mates with a runner coz he got them for me, he owns a shop so he got them through tweeks for me but he has rang me and said they dont fit a Williams, although i thought normal seats and williams/16v seat frames/positions were the same?

And apparently cobra dont make subframes for the williams/16v although i know people with these seats in clios?

maybe the lesser models have different type/mounting subframes. i,m not sure. pm mat brown or winston as they might now more

you need phase 1 runners i think.

yeah im starting to wonder if i need phase 1 runners+ subframes.

I spoke to cobra direct and he said they changed them after about 4 years and we didnt make any for them after that, so i think i have to use phase 1 runners, but will the runners go in my ph2 no problem?

not sure mate. cant you drill the phase two runners

You could drill em, i did to fit my leathers into my old car... or for a neater (sales pitch) job you could buy mine form me!!

I have some ph1 valver runner and subframes i just need to know wether they go into my ph2?

yeah. The holes in the floor pan are exactly the same.

So i take it the runners on the phase one have the bolts to the subframes in different places to the phase two? If thats right this frame should bolt straight onto the runners and then the seat onto the frame?

the bucket subframe should bolt onto the seat mounting bracket bolt holes in the phase 1 runners.

The phase 1 runners have exactly the same chassis mounting brackets and bolt hole spaceings as any other phase, becase all the chassis are the same.
