CD Head unit

Hi everyone,

I was out driving in the Lake District yesterday and managed to drive into a pot hole (i was too busy looking at the di*k head right up my ar*e)

Anyway, the cd player player suddently stopped working. I noticed it still works but there is no sound?

Connection come loose?

How do i go about getting the head unit out as i dont really know?

Should be a couple of slots in side of head unit for a set of keys to slide in and release catches. Will just slide out then.

most autoparts places will sell them. or halford defo will. only a couple of quid. or try here:

i just use 2 thin cutlery knifes and push them from the back 8)

Or just cheat and undo the holder with the 4 screws its held on with.

Halfords sell keys.

If you ask nice they may even let you borrow a set.

Well i managed to get the cd head unit out, checked all the cables and they all seem to be in correctly, nothing has come loose so now i am stumped. I checked all the wires i could see around the car and they seem ok.

Does anyone know somewhere i can take the car to get them to check the audio equipment?

I am based in the North West.

I live in Lancaster bud. About 20 mins from Windermere.

No static noise, nothing :(

any radio?

if the radio works and the cd player doesnt, it may be damaged and simply spinning around. happened to mine, it was a cheap one but principles are the same i guess.

Does the willy have an in built amp?

Both the radio and cd player dont work. Everything about the cd front face works fine. You can switch from radio to cd and select the different radio channels, just no sound.

There is no amp in the car bud.
