At 2,000-2,500rpm every now and again the engine will pink. At 5,000-5,500rpm it hits a flat spot and at 6,300 it hits another flat spot. It''s not just me thats being silly, I have actually lost a quite a bit of speed from this and I can't get to the problem of it. From Point A to point B on a runway strip I use to get 125mph constantly....Now I get around 116-117mph to the same point. Any ideas? Any at all?

All I can think of is Knock sensor, Fuel pressure or a vernier fault? I am stuffed for answers otherwise

Pinking is never a good thing, i would check the cam timing (on veriers) as your ignition timing cannot be adjusted so it looks like the timing is out or you have a dodgy fuel map.
