I think they look good, seem bright but im sure thats cos of the camera.

Just curious but does the "dimmer" switch to the right of the dash still work with those bulbs?

Would love to know how this is done? I did my bro's foucs awhile back, that was fun. Soldering in all the led's and new value resistors! Looked ace when all done. 8)

How's the Clio done?

Another vote for a guide. :D

Should the oil and battery light be partially lit up and the little warning light on the coolant temp guage? Or is that because the bulbs are so bright it lights them up even when they shouldn't be lit?

Apart from that looks wicked but extremely bright! Can imagine needing to dim them a bit at night lol!

No ive had the whole lot in very small pieces before now fixing various bits, im aware it involves sanding various bits down to remove the orange tint and ensuring an even spread of light.

I got the bulbs from ebay which means they probably wont be the best but for 8 delivered cost me £7.10 which i didnt think was too bad.

I think i took the last ones he had, but im sure he'll relist some more soon.

Bobbed the blue bulbs in to see what they would look like as they turned up today.

For some reason hardly any light at all gets through. I expected them to go red what with the orange plastic behind the dials, but instead its like theres no light behind them at all. The bulbs work as you can see the blue if you look around the mileometer and trip counter but nothing shines through the dials.

Any suggestions? and also, is it possible to smash out all the orange plastic behind the dials?

thats becuase you are putting blue light into a orange filter which means no blue light goes through it, hence the reason if you put white light behind it you get orange as all the other colours are filtered out.

I think because i have ph2 dials there is no sanding you can do. Its just 2mm of orange plastic. Would smashing out the plastic do any good or just destroy the light distribution to the dials?

I tried cutting out most of the orange plastic out from around the dial but it just left bright areas and dark areas, which look rubbish, also managed to damage the fuel level, coolant temp gauges, and 2 of the oil dial faces.

So I'm now just looking for a standard set of dials, as I'm fed up of trying to modify them! :(
