View Full Version : Cleaning ISCV and throttle body....

Tried looking for some pics and guides and cant find anything, which part is actually the ISCV? what tools am i going to need to take it off and clean it, got some carb cleaner and a brush, seem to remember someone saying take off the throttle body to clean that too, anyone pop a couple of pics up to help me out, cars all ready outside and would love to do it this afternoon,

all help appreciated,

The ICSV is located just infront of the Throttlebody area. Here's a pic...

It's the gold part next to the red TPS sensor.

To remove it you need to pull out the plug on the top, then undo the jubilee clips and also a nut on a small bracket, then simply pull off the two pipes connected to it. It's shaped like a an upside down "T" piece basically.

Then clean it up. To operate the shutter (open/close) whilst cleaning, use cotton buds. Perfect size. :)

just by pushing it with the cotton bud

Both. :) It'll make sense when you have it off and in your hands.
