I locked my car using the central locking button but forgot it would lock the boot when i shut it, my central locking has been playing up because it got real wet yesterday due to leaky ariel, now i cannot open my car because my key doesnt match the door locks, i was going to change them over today :(

+ its raining again and i doubt the central locking will work.

In other words, any ideas on how to get in? Lol. The passenger side door has no doorcard on if that helps.

can u not unlock the drivers door with your key then use the central locking switch near the gearstick to unlock the boot ?

My key doesnt open any of the locks, its a different barrel to the rest of the locks on the car. I dont actually even have a passenger side door lock.

Maybe coathanger down the door? I have no doorcard on the passenger side so may be able to grip something?

Get the RAC/AA out? they can get in a locked clio quite easily.

Looks like you might have to wait for the central locking dries out. Get something to cover the aerial with so no more water gets in and see if it randomly starts working again..

yeah the sun come out dried the road and car and it worked lol... thank god, could have been some effort.

i was once in the same situation, i couldnt get into my car for a week

my advice is get a new alarm fitted that has central locking control, mine was £150 and works, unlike the OE Renault one

This has happended to me twice now but have found a way of breaking into teh car with no damage. Was going to smash a rear quarter window as thought that is easiest to replace.

Quite easy to get into when you know how.

The above method is exactly the method the RAC used on my car.

Quite scary how easy they are to get into and shows why you need a decent alarm.

They used a plastic wedge on mine as i think that prevents the bodywork from getting scratched.
