I don't think they do one for the williams so i would say its for the 16v.

Williams isn't the same, It's got the wider front track and the suspension is different!

Have you taken it off a valver or a williams?

ok conflicting and confusing information here...

He's taken it off a VALVER so it will only fit a VALVER and NOT a WILLIAMS

Just a polite bit of advice, when coming on to an owners club, either post something up asking for advice regarding fitment or do a little research. Posting a for sale 'ad' and then trying to tell people that it will fit something it blatently wont isnt going to win you many friends and thus isnt going to sell your item(s). We are a friendly bunch here so theres no need to be embarassed about making an easy mistake. Just go about it the right way

I'd be very keen for someone to explain how and why they are different?

There are many differences, put simply, the Williams has a wider suspension track, wishbones etc... and from i remember they are actually different with regards to the bolt fitment spacing... but im sure some of the gurus will clear it up.

safe to say, Valver suspension wont fit on the Williams.. total different geometry.

It's to do with the bolt holes on the bottom of the strut, they're in the wrong place and 16v struts on a williams gives stupid amounts of negative camber, they won't work without modification to the holes

The bottem of the hub is pushed out... so the top needs to match to keep it all square, with no upper wishbone, the only thing to do this is the suspension strut and the spaceing of the bolt holes.

This is how camber bolts adjust the camber etc.

Valvers have narrower track, so if you put out the bottem (ala williams) you get some pretty funky suspension geometory
