I've noticed my engine seems to have a bad hesitation just before 3000rpm, but is absalutly fine everywhere else in the rev range.
It's worse when it's cold.
Anyone got any ideas as to what this could be?

Check the injector plug connectors.

Checked all the plugs last night, all seem to be fine.
Any other ideas?

Give it a good service. You've only just got it but don't truly know what has been done and when. Don't go on service books they can be made up.

Was going to change the fuel filter, if the weather gets any better! The oil seems to still be golden so wasn't gonna do that for a while.
What else would you suggest? Spark plugs?
The leads are magnacore so i presume they will be ok.

yes its the same as the 16v's.

is it always at the same engine speed regardless of load or throttle position?

It was only at full throttle and at the specific rpm.
I had a look at the dizzy cap, and noticed there was a rough patch on the rotor arm. I smoothed it off with some emory paper and that seems to have helped.
I will get a new rotor arm when i next order some parts.
Thanks for the replys guys 8)
