How the hell does it come off?!

Its for my valver, its the original kit they no longer make

Ive noticed that the foam filter is split at the bottom, which cant be good for the engine, so i want to remove it so i can repair it, and give the whole thing a good clean.

How the feck do you get the filter off though. From what i can see theres 2 spring affairs that allow you to pull it out about 2cm but thats it.

Any advice much appreciated!

pull the pin / spring bit out and there should be a little plug / tab that is used to lock the filter in, turn / rotate or pull towards you that so its the same direction as the pin (basically extends the pin) and then push the pin into towards the filter.

Can i have dibs on the induction kit if u sell it please

Many, many thanks for the help northy!

After much fighting the bottom spring clip refused to budge so i took the whole bastard lot off. Gave everything a damn good clean and dry, and even the fibreglass surround was treated to some degreaser.

The filter was split quite heavily, so after ots of supergluing tis all now back to perfect, and after a good drying session with the hairdrier, it does sound like theres more induction roar when you jab the throttle.

Thumbs up, and once again thanks for the help.

If i ever do come to sell, your at the top of the list!
