She's only done 53k (genuine) 3 owners from new. Its the 18th one ever made and was the demo for the Southampton showroom (not driveable demo) History for everything, in storage for 8 years at Renault HQ also got some old docs from the Hot Hatch shootout in 1991 from WHATCAR!! Tottaly standard and I would have to say mint.

Has every MOT from new. Bills up to my ears and FSH since its been out of storage in 1999

Thanks in advance a Grateful Monkey

Its far from standard, it has Williams Clocks in it, it has an aftermarket steering wheel and gear stick also the door sill strips. The clocks are the more important modification as it involves mileage.

Return it back to completely standard and it may be worth a decent amount!

Very tidy. Unfotunitly, like in most case's...someone has changed;
-dials for williams guages
-Clock for phase 2
-gear knob (for some shiney cold metal ball!?)
-tacky chrome surrounds every where
-steering wheel

Return this classic to its former glory!

Gear knob looks like a 172 phase 1. First dibs if it is!

Also has phase 2 speaker covers.

Looks mint go for it!

Nice. I am into white cars at the moment. Deffo worth making 100% origional and it would be worth a lot more money. Buy it at once!
Also loving the seats.
I will swop you my phase 1 dials, clock and steering wheel for the gearknob and momo steering wheel how does that sound eh! :D

Paul, yes H wastrhe frst year they came out, but not many were made.

The clocks are not willy clocks as everyone seems to think they are simply replacement lockwood coloured faces -thus not affecting the mileage. You can tell this as they are not the same colour of blue as willy dials.

The few things that have been changed can easily be put back to standard and it is a mint example.

GET IT BOUGHT!!!! lol

Buy it now. If you don't then pleasae pass me the sellers details.

It needs a few things to return it properly to std but that is one of the tidiest I've seen yet. You bast'd.

As for value? £2k in my view. £2.5 absolute tops dependant upon mechanical condition. You need to scour the thing for rust though. Feel under the scuttle panel under the windscreen, check the sills underneath near the rear beam, rear screen, rear 1/4 windows (underneath because the join in the seal is at the bottom and water can collect).

Also check under those wank sill plates as my blue one had the same ones and had rusted underneath.

No one esle has mentioned it, but I'd really look into the history. Ring up the dealership, speak to Renault HQ, confirm the service history is complete (service every 6k), ask if it has all the previous MOTs to back up the mileage. If it's got loads and loads of bills but only done 53k - why?

The markings on the rev counter indicate a 6.5k rev limit .

Yeah your right Martin, I didnt notice that.

Although they still dont look the right shade of blue, but could be the light in the pic.

Tbh I would be buying it to sell on @ a profit & I honestly don't know enough about these cars to get back to it's original glory.
I'm still learning bits & pieces about my 182.

I'm just trying to get the owners details for you now  (I know him through another site I use)

Thanks to everyone that has shown an interest in this & helping with replies, I really do appreciate it. 8)

Aye but Williams dials come with white needles.
And phase 1 needles are orange.
So its a set of williams clocks.
Id be suspect of the milage on something like that due to the changed clocks.
