Does anyone have any super low subframes on tehir bucket seats?

I have std cobra ones, that mount to the mbottem of my monaccos and bolt to the runners.

Invested in a helmet for trackdays yesterday, and unless i slouch in the seat i smack my head on teh sunroof surround.

Was thinking od maybe getting some custom lower ones made up that bolt straight to the floor of the car, but where to mount them?

I've got to get fine fixedf there to high as well (I'm 6 '4 so got the same sort of problem as you).

The present mounts let me go far enough back (any frther and the steaing wheles placment becomes annoying) however the seats to high. The fix I'm going to use is to use the normal runners but have brakcets bent to drop the seat down between the runners if that makes any sence.
I'd like to have the floor area given some more strenghtenign as I don't think the car was ever designed to take that much weight o far back on the runners.
You could go with subframes from Demon tweeks etc but you'll have to spend ages getting them to fit so yo might as well get the normal ones lowered.
What about removing the sunroof though I'm sure it would give some more headroom like mine has.
Then again in the even of a roll over our heads would hit the ground if we just modify the roof to fit.

Yeah, think i might go and have a chat with my local welder tomorrow, see if he can knock something up for me before FCS, hard to try to drive decently sloughed in your seat, not to mention dangerious if i crash

Will prolly bolt though the bracing running accross the floor,a nd might even go down through the floor and stick soem plates on teh underside to spread the weight
