I am thinking of colour-coding my phase 2 bootstrip.

What is needed to paint this type of plastic?

leave it standard, brings contrast :) :P

there's no paint invented to paint that, so it can't be painted 8)

Haha! Yeh i have to agree it does break it up and make it look better in my opinion.

Plastic is plastic so plastic primer... and normal colour spray.

yes I know what your saying bass but mine is a bit jaded and rather then buying a new one I wanted to see what it looked like.
I like the phase 2 lights but want a smooth look for the back. When you smooth the back end using a phase 1 bootstrip it just looks wrong as the lights stick out too far in relation to the bootlid........
I'm sure you have seen what I mean.....

I agonize over this stuff for hours you know!

i see what you mean! i've seen colour coded strips and they look tacky i think.. and when people smooth the whole boot, it looks too plain! lol

i think the perfect look is smooth boot but with the phase 2 strip

or ph1 boot with good condition :P phase 2 strip and lights

Surely the special primer, paint, laquer, wet and dry and time far exceed the cost of a new ph2 strip ?

I think you will find they are more then that! I paid nearly £5 for a feakin tiny little dash bulb to go in my clock the other day from renault........I have decided to leave the bootstrip anyway and just get a new one later on, its not that bad, I am just picky!

Keep an eye out in the local scrapyards, the low milage 1.2s usually have very good condition boot strips.
