Been a long while since I was last on here- If I'm secretly honest, I missed it! ;) I'm soon to be coming back into Reno Clio Ownership, (in the shape of a Phase2 172) but also fancy a Valver as a track toy in the not so distant future. :D

Here's a few pics of my old and much missed Valver, which is pretty much a shadow of it's former self now due to someone not taking much pride in it and it may remind people who I am and a few pics of the (not-so) trusty, but much loved steed that replaced it! Hope to be able to add some 172 pictures to it in the next 3-4 weeks :)

Some people are never happy... Yes, for once, after owning many stripped out cars, or those for all out country lane blasting fun, I fancy a few luxuries in a motor ;)

Anyway, ready what I put... I'd love a track valver ;)

Thanks all- good too see you're still a lovely, friendly bunch!

At the moment it's used as a daily drive... and that's fine as it is (relitively) reliable

But I've found myself doing more miles each day to and from work, due to stopping at friends houses and travelling up to an extra 16-20 miles a day, (on top of the 30mile round trip!) so running it just isn't feasible and it shouldn't have miles like that put on it, imo. I also fancied a bit of comfort for a change after owning many stripped out cars and old hot hatches...couple of stripped out Novas, a 306, the Valver and then the Fiesta means I'm yearning for a bit of comfort, without giving up too much speed!

I'll miss the Fiesta alot, but at 21, there is no way I can insure two cars so the 172 seems a worthy and modern replacement for what I want from a car right now.

Spec of the RS is pretty basic tbh- nothing major, but when it comes on boost you damn well know about it!

Full top end rebuild by Road & Rally, 2k ago, with new big end and new replacement gaskets, alternator and starter motor (an incident with a forgetful mechanic at a local garage led to the death of my engine....and the payment of new work!)

Full s/s exhaust system
Stage 1 Superchip
Induction kit
Radtec Alloy Rad

Whats the bodywork like on it Mish? Rust etc. Looks very nice though. I love grey FRST's but have to say yours looks nice in red. Prob the wheels that does it.

Well , it's just passed it's 12months MOT...and failed on small numberplates lol, so it's not bad for a 17 year old car!

It has, in its time, had a new petrol cap area as they are known to rust. I only know because the previous owner told me- someone made a decent job of the repair.

I love the Fiesta but it's time to move on. I still miss the Valver if I'm honest
