I have them on my car. Ace in all conditions. Plenty of grip wet or dry.

had them. they wear too quickly imo. vredstein sportrac 2's are now on mine and just as happy with grip levels. albeit they perform slightly worse in the wet but they wear a lot slower and are roughly the same price

Rich

Not true. Depends on tyre size. Some sizes are only GSD2 fitment and some are GSD3. Both are still made.

According to ReifenTest.com they are practically the same, except one's nearly double the price of the other?

Only do the cheaper one in 195's though.

I used to run the 195/50s til I went back to 185/55 PE2s. Loved them and can't complain.

The mrs has 195/55 GSD2s on her Xsara VTS and I also think they're stonking on that. Maybe even slightly better that the 195/50s which were GSD3, although it's pointless comparing different sizes. :)

anyone tried the Marangoni Mythos tyres?

a friend of mine has used them on some hill events and they sponsor some motorsport in Italy and have a good rep there, pretty cheap too considering their potential performance?

yoko a539 have been good for me, i've had them all, F1 GSD3, T1-S, vredestein, they're all much of a muchness, no tyre is what i'd call "good" in the wet and they're all comparable in the dry.

My next tyres will be Toyos

Unless you plan on going on track go with the F1s. You'll still have more frip than you need for the road, plus better wet/cold performance.

too easy to blame tyres, steering, suspension instead of what in most cases is someones ego being better at driving than their actual ability.

:agree:

Unless your tyres or suspension components are actually faulty, a crash will usually be the driver's fault. Manufacturers don't sell tyres that make cars crash.

Just bought a full set of Yoko Paradas last night.

Ive been sort of half assed looking for new tyres as the fronts on my valver are a bit low and the brand - Wanli - isnt brilliant. They sound like they've been made in a jungle clearing somewhere ffs!

Couldnt believe the price posted up by MatBrown. Dirt Cheap!

Had a 30 second search on the web and found a 5% discount code for edworthys too, so ended up getting them for a delviered price of £120, which is frankly daft for top of the range yokos.

Huge thanks to MatBrown, you are now my wallets best friend.

And BTW, ive had Yokos all all my motoring life and found them to be superb in the wet and dry. For the price they are a cracking tyre.

I'd say blowing up tyres would be classified as faulty.

Run F1's myself and they are excellent road tyres, best all rounder imo. I wouldn't take them on track tho, rather get some Colways or some other cheap track tyres...
