Hi :D ,
A few questions I hope you can all answer? How much nowadays for a set of Williams alloys? Is it true that the Willams 3 wheels are wider than the 1 and 2's?
Secondly how bug a job is replacing the gear linkage on a Clio Williams (or any Clio I guess for that matter...)?
And last, how many miles does a Williams engine do on average assuming it has been serviced by the book etc?
Thanks in advance,
Mark
Wheels vary in price quite widely - from £150 to £250 is what i would pay dependant on condition, rubber etc.
And no, wheels are all the same width.
Not that difficult job if you believe haynes, as its only 2 stars or something, never done it myself and wouldnt imagine its expensive to get a garage to do it either.
Williams engines can vary in mileage, but a well looked after one can go on forever. There are a couple of members on here with v high mileage valvers and they seem to be going well.
A full rebuild would be about £1300 so if you did buy one and want to rebuild it in the future....

A quick reply! Thanks for that. Any idea how much for a new linkage? Is it a specialised Williams part?

Also suspension wise what is exclusive to the Williams? Is it just the shocks?
shockers, bottom arms, anti roll bar
I dont know how much the linkage is im afraid. Best bet is ring renault.

Since when have the subframe and driveshafts been part of the suspension?
Mat.
id say since the wishbones and arb are bolted to it lol
but no you dont need to change it if thats what your getting at!
and the subframe is supposedly 'exclusive' to the williams
