Basically The pads are not contacting properly so the rear discs are getting slight rust. Whats the likely problem here and is a common williams fault?

probably siezed sliders. whip the calipers off and free them off if its not too late

note the handbrake is also sh1t....

Whats the best to lube them with? just any old grease?`

lithium grease NOT copper. stops the seals perishing. sounds like the sliders are goosed mate, but you may be lucky and be able to free them off. I wasnt so it cost me £110 plus vat for a new pair of calipers :cry:

Will probably be the sliders like Rich has said, may also be the piston, check for the quality of the seals etc..

Strip them down and clean them up, grease them with high melting point assembly grease and it should be ok. Otherwise theres loads of 2nd hand sets going.
